About the Role

The Program Manager – Career Development & Enrollment is a masterful programmatic operator responsible for supporting students who have already completed the Accelerator (“Post-Accelerator Fellows” or “PAFs”) in subsequent semesters towards strong post-career outcomes. To power the program each semester, you will recruit and manage PAF volunteers, Professional Mentors (volunteer working professionals), and part-time student interns, whose numbers will also scale significantly in each subsequent semester. In addition, you will build excitement, awareness and commitment of the Braven Sophomore Year Experience (Accelerator course) on campus to enroll 500-560 Fellows (students) into the Braven Accelerator course at Spelman College, through inspiring events and activities. In all of this, you will contribute to building and maintaining a positive presence of Braven at Spelman College.

  

What You’ll Do

Reporting directly to the Site Director, the Program Manager – Career Development and Enrollment Strategy will work extensively with Spelman College faculty and staff, Fellows, PAFs, program alumni, volunteers, employer partners,and local organizations to contribute to the effective growth of Braven. Specifically, you will:


Post-Accelerator Fellow (PAF) Programming & Outcomes - 55%

  • Manage the post-Accelerator experience to ensure all PAFs are on track to secure strong internships and jobs
  • Plan and execute the Professional Mentoring program (recruit PAFs, facilitate training, logistics, etc.)
  • Collaborate with career partners to put on treks and visits to local organizations
  • Manage progress-to-goals tracking/reporting for student internship/job attainment, including monthly dashboard updates and annual Post-Accelerator Fellow (PAF) Survey collection process
  • Design and manage PAF job referrals process
  • Share design input and feedback with Product team
  • Share compelling stories with the External Affairs Team and Executive Director


Student Enrollment- 20%

  • Develop vision, strategy, and tactics to effectively enroll 250 students a semester into the Braven course 
  • Use Salesforce to manage, track, and analyze recruitment data and pipelines, as well as use data to make strategic pivots 
  • Analyze recruitment data weekly to inform recruiting strategy 
  • Coordinate, execute, and support recruitment presentations and materials
  • Support cultivation and management of college partnerships and K-12 relationships including research, meeting preparation, data tracking, and communications
  • Recruit and manage PAFs to serve as interns and volunteers
  • Share design input and feedback with Braven’s External Affairs team on marketing materials
  • Maintain high engagement with enrolled students, as to ensure attrition is minimized 



A+ Team - 25%

  • Participate in individual annual and quarterly planning and all team events
  • Manage overall hiring process for PAF roles on Braven’s team (e.g. part-time student interns, Faculty Readers)
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage part-time student interns
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage Peer Career Mentors and Braven Brand Ambassadors (part-time PAF interns)
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and manage student exec-board President if applicable

  • 3-5 years of experience with a verifiable track record of achieving excellence and successful outcomes;

  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability, excels in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and is comfortable with ambiguity;
  • Proven ability to create, operationalize, and manage project plans, meeting milestones and deadlines;
  • Data-driven manager: track record of using data and metrics to drive decisions and measure performance;
  • Strong alignment with, passion for, and commitment to the mission and values of Braven;
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your fit for the role, will likely be between $44,500-$55,600. Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity and the inequities that can emerge from salary negotiations, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully upfront using benchmarking. You will have an opportunity to discuss salary in more detail after you begin the application process.

Location

When social distancing is not in place, we gather in the office four days a week. Therefore, we require teammates to live within commuting distance of Atlanta, GA. Each teammate can use one flex day of their choosing per week to work remotely.
