About the Role

Braven is seeking a Salesforce Solutions Engineer to join us at this very exciting time in our growth. You will play a crucial role in our mission by working in close collaboration across all teams to identify the most urgent needs, propose the biggest impact projects and then design and implement solutions that will empower us to work with tens of thousands of stakeholders.


We’ll rely on you to design and configure Salesforce to strengthen key processes—including object creation and definition, security and sharing, workflow and Process Builder, and engaging on the AppExchange. We believe in the importance of breaking down and sequencing large projects into manageable pieces, documenting the process from start to end, all with deep empathy for your end users and an eye towards the future by delivering solutions that can grow with the organization.


The ideal candidate for this role should see themselves as equal parts data expert and strategic problem solver who is an expert in Salesforce best-practices, tools, integrations, and features.

  • Be a member of Braven's growing Data team, contributing expertise, leadership, and best practices towards our goal of data and operational excellence.
  • Design, build, and manage Salesforce solutions to ensure Braven has the systems needed to support our growth as we scale.
  • Lead and own multiple projects and user stories with critical deadlines.
  • Collaborate with Braven Salesforce SMEs to define organizational needs and conduct proactive administration, monitoring, and maintenance for our solutions and implementations.
  • Participate in Agile cross-functional scrum teams to meet Braven’s organizational needs.
  • Collaborate with technical teams at Braven and external Salesforce consultants and engineers.
  • Prevent existing features and functionalities from breaking through close consultation with Braven technical team, regression testing, quality assurance, and other methods.
  • Improve data quality, user adoption, user satisfaction, and the capacity of others to make data-driven decisions.

Braven is looking for a mission driven and savvy Salesforce expert. You are bringing experiences and strengths like these:

  • Strong alignment with Braven core values
  • 3+ years of Salesforce.com administration experience. Salesforce experience in a non-profit context is a big plus.
  • Aptitude for solving business processes and problems by using core Salesforce.com functionality, including but not limited to custom objects, workflows, custom validation, user profiles, sandboxes, Lightning and AppExchange/3rd Party applications
  • Salesforce Certifications (required): Admin (201)
  • Salesforce Certifications (strongly preferred): Platform App Builder, Nonprofit Cloud Consultant
  • Extensive experience with the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP)
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and processes
  • Experience with CampaignMonitor, Mogli, and/or Duplicate Check packages (preferred)
  • Experience successfully managing others or others’ work (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage multiple projects
  • Autonomous, self-driven, life-long learner


Additional Requirements

  • Ability to work in-person in our Newark office
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of such by the date of hire. Individuals may claim exemption from the vaccine requirement for medical or religious reasons. Exempted individuals will be subject to weekly testing if they engage in any in-person work activities.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your fit for the role, will likely be between $55,700 - $69,600. Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity and the inequities that can emerge from salary negotiations, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully upfront using benchmarking. You will have an opportunity to discuss salary in more detail after you begin the application process.

Location

When social distancing is not in place, we gather in the office four days a week. Therefore, we require teammates to live within commuting distance of Newark. Each teammate can use one flex day of their choosing per week to work remotely. We believe in the magic, connection, and collaboration that happen when people work together face-to-face and we believe in giving people flexibility to focus, balance personal priorities, and save themselves one commute per week.
