About the Role

​​In order to achieve its ambition of serving 40,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven must effectively scale our programs, operations, and systems. In that effort, Braven is hiring a Program Manager of Employer Partnership and Volunteer Operations to join us in ensuring the smooth execution of nearly 100 employer partnerships and volunteer programs for more than 3,000 volunteers across the country. As a member of Braven’s Product Team, you will support both regional teams and national teams in ensuring seamless operations, while delivering a world-class experience to Braven employer partners, volunteers, and Fellows.

  

What You’ll Do: 

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT

• Oversee the strategy and execution of Braven’s volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and retention programs
• Support strategy and execution for referring Fellows to employer partners for internships and jobs
• Lead events, meetings with employer partners, volunteer program communications, volunteer trainings, and one-off volunteer support
• Communicate across Braven subteams to ensure alignment on goals, strategies, deadlines, and resources

OPERATIONS

• Own and execute user stories as a critical member of multiple project teams
• Analyze weekly data to identify program strengths and improvement opportunities
• Codify and maintain program operations documentation and resources
• Manage seasonal contractors to interview, vet, and select 1,500+ volunteers per year
• Manage and train volunteer training facilitators

STAFF SUPPORTS

• Support cross-functional execution of employer partnerships and volunteer programs, serving as an implementation coach, thought partner, and problem solver
• Create and facilitate staff trainings to ensure they feel prepared to execute employer partnerships and volunteer programs effectively

• You have 1-3 years of experience managing programs, projects, or events
• You have experience with public speaking and facilitation
• You have a demonstrated commitment to operational excellence, creating and following through on project plans with strong attention to detail and deadlines
• You have experience analyzing data and can draw insights from data analysis to problem solve
• You are an excellent written and verbal communicator
• You have experience managing others and/or working in a project team to influence and motivate teammates 
• You are highly motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, data-driven, and curious

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work in-person in Atlanta (GA), Chicago (IL), Newark (NJ), or New York City (NYC)  
• Will be expected to work approximately 10-15 nights and/or weekends per year, coinciding with Braven events
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be fully vaccinated and have received the Booster vaccination against COVID-19 and provide proof of such by the date of hire. Individuals may claim exemption from the vaccine requirement for medical or religious reasons. Exempted individuals will be subject to weekly testing if they engage in any in-person work activities.   

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your demonstrated fit for the role, will likely be between $56,600 - $70,800 in Chicago; $53,900 - $67,300 in Atlanta; and $61,200 - $76,500 in Newark and New York City. Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking. • Unlimited vacation time in addition to org-wide, week-long shutdowns in July and the end of the calendar year 
• Up to match of your 401K contribution up to 5% of your base annual salary, starting your first full month
• Coverage of 85% of health insurance premium 
• A one month paid sabbatical after 4 years on staff

Location

When social distancing is not in place, we gather in the office three days a week. Therefore, we will require this teammate to live within commuting distance of one of these 4 hubs: Chicago, New York City, Newark, and Atlanta. Each teammate can use two flex days of their choosing per week to work remotely. We believe in the magic, connection, and collaboration that happens when people work together face-to-face and we believe in giving people flexibility to focus, balance personal priorities, and save themselves two commutes per week.
