Learn more about Braven’s impact:

Braven was named one of America’s Best Startup Employers 2022 by Forbes! We’re proud to be a nonprofit organization that values its employees and has always been committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace that mirrors our country.

About the Role

In order to achieve its ambition of serving 40,000 Fellows over the next decade, Braven must elevate awareness of the college-to-career challenge and its own brand, and inspire college students and volunteers to take action. In that effort, Braven is hiring a Manager, Communications & Marketing who will assist the Director, Communications & Marketing with implementing the organizational communication and marketing strategy. As a member of the Communications & Marketing team, you will own several responsibilities across owned, earned, and paid channels, including social media, email, and blog. This role will lead execution nationally and will support regional managers with their strategy to recruit new Fellows and volunteers for the Braven course. Across the organization, the manager will design marketing materials and social images for a variety of events and initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Help create and implement annual marketing and communication plans at the national and regional levels alongside the Director of Communications & Marketing
  • Build and send effective regional email campaigns that will inspire college students to sign up for the Braven course.
  • Manage marketing analytics (e.g. UTMs, Google Analytics, etc.) and support our website management team with tasks.
  • Develop and execute a robust and integrated social media strategy using Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn. Create assets, manage a social calendar, post and monitor progress toward goals using Hootsuite, and shift course using quantitative and qualitative insights.
  • Assist Braven’s CEO by posting and commenting weekly to their Linkedin and Twitter accounts.
  • Design and maintain high-quality story-telling collateral as it relates to volunteer recruitment, employer partnerships, board member relations, and organizational needs (e.g. blog posts, videos, and other digital and print materials).
  • Train and support a communications and marketing intern as well as regional managers with social media and email marketing.

Each teammate can use two flex days of their choosing per week to work remotely. We believe in the magic, connection, and collaboration that happens when people work together face-to-face and we believe in giving people flexibility to focus, balance personal priorities, and save themselves two commutes per week.
