About the Role: 

Braven is hiring a Program Operations Coordinator who will help support the New York City team in their programmatic and recruitment efforts. In this role, you’ll be part of the engine behind our work with our local university partners, Lehman College and The City College of New York (CCNY), as well as our local employer partners. Reporting directly to the Managing Directors, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for:

• [60%] Accelerator Support
  • Coordinate logistics for in-person delivery of the Braven course at Lehman and CCNY
  • Support the program team with the Accelerator course as needed with 
  • Observe weekly classes during first semester to internalize Braven curriculum and experience (virtual and in-person)
  • Support the execution of semesterly Mock Interview special event
• [20%] Student Recruitment Support
  • Support around campus recruitment blitz 
  • Informational phone banking  
• [20%] Post Accelerator Fellow Support
  • Supporting the execution of site-visits and employer partner treks
  • Support recruitment efforts for the Professional Mentorship (PM) program
• [10%] Admin
  • Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings, conference calls, and calendar management; as well as doing outreach via phone, text, and email to students.
  • Draft and/or edit correspondence to internal and external stakeholders; project management of timely correspondence and noting when follow-up is needed.
  • Enter and update stakeholder information, data, and project details into Salesforce, and Asana
  • Execute and/or assist with ad hoc projects and tasks.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to work in-person in New York City and to travel to Lehman College and CCNY 1-2x/week
• Willingness to work two evenings per week from 5:00-8:00 pm (on campus at Lehman College and CCNY)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), G-Suite (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Forms, Google Sheets and Gmail)
• Preferred, but not required proficiency in Salesforce, Canva, Asana, Zoom, Expensify
• BA degree required; Lehman College, CCNY, and Braven alumni are highly encouraged to apply
• Authorized to work in the US

• Must be fully vaccinated and have received the Booster vaccination against COVID-19 and provide proof of such by the date of hire. Individuals may claim exemption from the vaccine requirement for medical or religious reasons. Exempted individuals will be subject to weekly testing if they engage in any in-person work activities.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your fit for the role, will likely be between $50,600 - $63,200. Braven offers competitive base salaries based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously. Given our commitment to equity, Braven does not negotiate salary offers; instead each salary offer is determined carefully using external and internal benchmarking. You will have an opportunity to discuss salary in more detail after you begin the application process.

Location

When social distancing is not in place, we gather in the office three days a week. Therefore, we require teammates to live within commuting distance of New York City. Each teammate will have two flex days to work remotely.  We believe in the magic, connection, and collaboration that happens when people work together face-to-face and we believe in giving people flexibility to focus, balance personal priorities, and save themselves two commutes per week.
